FROM THE EDITOR
Sept/Oct 2008
By Kim Foley MacKinnon

The fall issue of Travelworld focuses on the animal world and trips that were specifically undertaken to see them. From polar bears to wolves to rescued big cats to the underwater realm, NATJA writers share their adventures that left fancy hotels and meals behind (though not entirely!) and looked to the various creatures we share the planet with. I'm sure you'll enjoy their stories as much as I did.

Don't miss Dan Schlossberg's column on Oklahoma City's charms (our conference host this year). He details all that the city has to offer, including its new basketball team. And lest you think animal encounters are too difficult for wheelchair users or slow walkers, columnist Candy Harrington has some great tips.

As always, have happy and safe travels!
